Another Experimental Illustration piece, using sketches that I put up earlier on the blog. Tape transfers, mixed media. Also another mediocre scan, the cardboard is kind of warped so it doesn't usually scan as clean as the original. Also a pen doodle I made on the plane.

Paper Doll Assignment

The assignment was to use a image of ourselves from childhood, in a paper doll form, since mine is digital, it's not a literal paper doll, but I wanted the image of me as a baby to stand out from the rest of the illustration. My concept was a whimsical collage of sorts behind the more realistic rendering of myself. Not sure how much more I will change if anything.

The assignment was to create two images using the theme kittens in a basket. One had to be a children's book cover, the other a heavy metal CD. These were the final pieces I handed in but I would do some things differently if I went back.

2 Kittens Assignment

I think I am going to use these two drawings of these "kittens", for an assignment where we have to design a Heavy Metal CD cover using the theme 'Two kittens in a basket'. I'm planning on creating the elements of the picture separately then bringing it into photoshop and using the tablet.

This is the first post, hopefully I will be able to keep this thing updated with whatever illustrations I think are interesting. Here is ink on cardboard, with some white paint and red marker. I might bring this into photoshop and see what I could add with the tablet.
